The DYNABRADE 51700 is a straight-handle air die grinder built for precision material removal in industrial and trade applications. It accepts a 1/8 inch collet and spins at 60,000 RPM, making it well suited for carbide burrs, mounted points, rotary files, and small grinding discs. The tool draws 8 CFM at 90 psi operating pressure and delivers 0.1 horsepower through a lever throttle. Rear exhaust directs air away from the work surface, improving visibility and reducing debris blowback on the operator. At 5.25 inches in overall length, it fits into confined areas where larger grinders cannot reach.
This grinder is used across metal fabrication, welding finishing, automotive, and general industrial maintenance. It is best suited for deburring, porting, surface blending, and detail grinding on metal, composite, and hard materials. The lever throttle gives the operator precise speed control during fine work. It ships with a high-quality flexible air hose. Licensed mechanics, tool and die technicians, fabricators, and industrial maintenance professionals are the typical end users.
Designed as an OEM-style pneumatic die grinder compatible with standard 1/4 inch NPT compressed air supply lines operating at 90 psi. Accepts all standard 1/8 inch shank rotary tooling including carbide burrs, mounted points, rotary files, and grinding discs.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tool safety practices. Before connecting or changing tooling, shut off the air supply and bleed residual pressure from the line. Verify that the shop air supply is regulated to 90 psi and that the supply line is fitted with an inline filter and lubricator to protect internal tool components. Always secure collet tooling fully with the proper collet wrench before operating, and confirm the rated RPM of any installed accessory meets or exceeds the 60,000 RPM spindle speed of this tool.
