The DYNABRADE 48201 is a straight air die grinder designed for precision material removal, deburring, grinding, and porting work in industrial and trade environments. Rated at 0.4 horsepower and 25,000 RPM, it delivers consistent rotational speed for demanding applications. The grinder operates on 90 psi compressed air and consumes 23 CFM at full load. A lever-style throttle gives the operator direct speed control during use. Rear exhaust directs spent air away from the work surface, reducing debris scatter. Licensed HVAC technicians, pipefitters, machinists, and fabricators commonly use this tool for finishing work on metal components where a larger grinder cannot reach.
The 48201 is suited for close-tolerance grinding and deburring tasks in both shop and field settings. It accepts a 1/4 inch collet insert and a 6 mm collet insert, covering a range of standard burr and mounted-point tooling. The straight inline body profile allows access to restricted workspaces such as ports, bores, and internal cavities. This grinder fits naturally into metal fabrication, HVAC component finishing, pipe preparation, and general mechanical service workflows where pneumatic tooling is standard.
Designed as a direct-use pneumatic die grinder compatible with standard 1/4 inch and 6 mm shank carbide burrs, mounted grinding points, and rotary files. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering 90 psi and at least 23 CFM at the tool inlet.
Connection to the air supply should be made using a properly rated air fitting and hose rated for the operating pressure. Depressurize the air line before connecting or changing collet inserts. Use the correct collet wrench to secure tooling to the specified torque range outlined in the tool documentation — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the air inlet filter and lubricate the grinder per the manufacturer service interval to maintain rated RPM and motor life.
