The DYNABRADE 47202 is a straight air die grinder designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in demanding industrial and trade environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi and rated at 0.4 horsepower, it delivers up to 5,000 RPM for controlled material removal. The lever throttle provides responsive speed control during operation. Air consumption runs at 23 CFM, so adequate compressor capacity is required for sustained use. A rear exhaust port directs airflow away from the workpiece and operator. The 47202 ships with a 1/4 inch collet insert and a 6 mm collet insert, making it compatible with both standard imperial and metric tooling straight out of the box.
The 47202 is suited for metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where precision die grinding, porting, or deburring is performed on a regular basis. It is a common tool for machinists, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians working on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The rear exhaust design keeps chips and debris clear of the work area, which is particularly useful in confined or overhead applications. Its compact straight-body profile allows access to tight workspaces where angle grinders cannot reach.
Accepts 1/4 inch and 6 mm shank rotary tooling including carbide burrs, mounted points, and grinding stones. Collet inserts 50013 and 50016 are included.
Installation is performed by a qualified pneumatic tool technician or industrial mechanic. Before connecting to an air supply, verify the line pressure does not exceed 90 psi and that air volume meets the 23 CFM requirement to avoid stall or premature wear. Use an inline air filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit to supply clean, dry, lubricated air and extend tool service life. Always fit the collet insert fully and tighten securely before inserting tooling, and confirm the accessory shank diameter matches the installed collet before operation.
