The DYNABRADE 40335 is a pneumatic belt sander designed for precision surface finishing work on metal components. Running at 20,000 RPM and delivering 4,550 feet per minute belt speed, this tool accepts belts ranging from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch wide by 18 inches long. The 0.5 HP motor draws 28 CFM at 90 psi through a 1/4 inch NPT inlet, making it compatible with standard shop air supplies. At 0.5 pounds and 14.25 inches overall length, it is a compact, handheld tool suited for metalworking, fabrication, and finishing environments. An 11203 Contact Arm is included. CE and EAC certifications are on file.
This sander is built for trade and industrial applications where consistent surface quality is required on metal parts. Common tasks include deburring sharp edges, blending weld seams, removing weld discoloration, setting grain lines, polishing, and achieving repeatable satin finishes. It is well suited to fabrication shops, aerospace component finishing, HVAC equipment manufacturing, and general metal finishing operations. The front exhaust location directs spent air away from the work surface, keeping the operator view clear during close-tolerance finishing passes.
Designed as an OEM-style pneumatic belt sander for use with 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch wide by 18 inch abrasive belts. Confirm belt width and length before ordering consumables.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tool safety practices. Before connecting to an air supply, verify that the supply line is rated for at least 90 psi and that a minimum 3/8 inch inside-diameter hose is used to prevent pressure drop. Always depressurize and disconnect the air supply before changing belts or contact arms. Inspect abrasive belts for tears or damage before each use, and ensure all guards are in place per applicable OSHA and ANSI abrasive tool standards.
