The DWYER V6EPB-B-S-6-B is a Flowtect flow switch designed to detect flow presence or absence in liquid and gas systems. It uses a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switching mechanism to trigger control circuits, alarms, or shutoffs when flow conditions change. The brass housing withstands up to 2,000 psi working pressure and handles operating temperatures from -4 degrees F to 220 degrees F. Rated at 5 amps, it connects via a 2-inch female NPT threaded port and uses a cable-type electrical connection. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This flow switch is suited for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications including pumps, motors, machines, liquid-cooled engines, dampers, emergency showers, and eyewash stations. It is compatible with both liquid and gas media, making it a versatile choice for process control and safety interlock systems. The NEMA 4 enclosure rating supports use in wet or washdown environments. Mounting orientation is unrestricted, allowing installation in any position to suit the system layout.
Suitable for use with gas and liquid media in pump, motor, machine, liquid-cooled engine, damper, emergency shower, and eyewash station applications requiring flow detection and SPDT switching output.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or licensed industrial mechanic familiar with process control wiring and applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits and depressurize the pipeline before installing or servicing this switch. Use appropriate thread sealant rated for the media type when making the NPT connection. Verify that the supply voltage and load current do not exceed the switch rating before returning the system to service.
