The DWYER INSTRUMENTS tl20-200-8b is a utility water pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in plumbing, HVAC, and general water service applications. It features a 2-inch dial face with a 200 psi range, making it suitable for reading line pressure at a glance without external power or signal conditioning. The back-mount configuration with a 1/8-inch male pipe thread (MPT) connection allows direct installation into a pipe fitting or manifold port. This gauge is a standard field instrument installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters during commissioning, service, and pressure verification work.
This gauge fits residential and light commercial water systems where a compact, direct-reading pressure indicator is needed at a tee, valve, or service port. The back-mount orientation keeps the dial facing outward when installed in a panel, cabinet, or tight mechanical space. Typical applications include domestic water supply lines, boiler system monitoring, irrigation manifolds, and HVAC chilled or hot water loops where pressure readings up to 200 psi are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation utility pressure gauge for residential and light commercial water, plumbing, and HVAC hydronic systems using standard 1/8-inch NPT fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off and depressurize the water or hydronic circuit before threading the gauge into the fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe-thread compound to the male threads before installation — do not overtighten, as the gauge body can crack. Verify the installed pressure range does not exceed the system operating pressure to avoid damage to the bourdon tube mechanism.
