The DWYER INSTRUMENTS 3rbm25 is a bimetal dial thermometer designed for temperature measurement in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial process applications. It features a 3 inch dial face with a 0 to 250 degrees F range and a 2.5 inch stem for insertion into pipes or vessels. The back-mount configuration positions the dial face perpendicular to the pipe, keeping it readable when installed in tight or inline locations. The stainless steel case protects internal components from moisture and corrosion in mechanical room and plant environments. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers are the primary installers of this type of instrument.
This thermometer suits residential and light commercial HVAC systems, hydronic heating loops, domestic hot water lines, and process piping where a permanent, direct-reading temperature indicator is needed. The 0.5 inch MPT back-mount connection threads directly into a standard tee, well fitting, or pipe boss. The 0 to 250 degrees F range covers typical hot water supply and return temperatures as well as low-pressure steam and condensate applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation bimetal thermometer for residential and commercial HVAC, hydronic heating, and plumbing piping systems using a standard 0.5 inch female NPT fitting or thermowell.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians in accordance with local mechanical codes and ASME B31.9 building services piping guidelines where applicable. Shut down and depressurize the piping system before threading the instrument into the fitting or thermowell. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before installation. Do not overtighten the connection, and never install or remove the thermometer while the line is pressurized or at operating temperature.
