The DURO DYNE 35167 is a supply air sensor designed for use with the RED-4 zoning control panel. It monitors supply air conditions within a zoned HVAC system, providing the control panel with the temperature data it needs to manage damper operation and zone balancing. This sensor is a direct-service component installed by licensed HVAC technicians during system commissioning or as a replacement in an existing zoning installation. Accurate supply air sensing is critical to proper zone control, preventing equipment short-cycling and maintaining comfort across all zones.
The 35167 is intended for residential and light commercial zoning applications where a RED-4 zoning control panel is the system controller. It is installed in the supply air duct downstream of the air handler or furnace, where it reads conditioned air temperature before it is distributed to individual zones. Technicians replacing a failed sensor or commissioning a new RED-4 panel installation will use this part as the designated supply air sensor for that panel system.
Designed for use with the DURO DYNE RED-4 Zoning Control Panel as the designated supply air sensor.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician familiar with zoning system wiring and duct sensor placement. Power down the air handler and zoning control panel before removing or installing the sensor. Mount the sensor in the supply duct according to the RED-4 panel manufacturer installation instructions, ensuring proper placement for accurate air temperature readings. Follow all applicable local mechanical and electrical codes during installation.
