The DURA PLASTIC PVC80COUP1 is a 1-inch socket-by-socket coupling made from Schedule 80 PVC. It joins two lengths of 1-inch PVC pipe in a straight run and is rated for higher-pressure applications than Schedule 40 fittings. The thicker wall construction of Schedule 80 PVC gives this coupling greater strength and chemical resistance, making it well-suited for industrial and mechanical piping systems. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting using standard PVC solvent cement.
