The DURA PLASTIC PVC80CAPS34 is a 3/4-inch slip-style end cap manufactured to Schedule 80 PVC pressure fitting standards. It is used to terminate open pipe ends in pressurized systems, providing a secure, solvent-weld closure. Schedule 80 PVC offers thicker walls than Schedule 40, making it suitable for higher-pressure applications in industrial, commercial, and residential piping systems. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of new construction or retrofit work where a permanent, pressure-rated pipe termination is required.
This cap is suited for cold and hot water distribution lines, chemical handling systems, irrigation networks, and other applications where a solvent-weld PVC fitting is specified. The slip connection accepts standard 3/4-inch PVC pipe and is joined using PVC primer and solvent cement per ASTM and manufacturer guidelines. It is appropriate for both above-ground and below-ground installations where Schedule 80 PVC is the specified material.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 3/4-inch Schedule 80 PVC pressure piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM D2467 standards for Schedule 80 PVC socket-type fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean and deburr the pipe end, apply PVC primer, then solvent cement to both the pipe and fitting socket before joining. Allow full cure time per cement manufacturer specifications before returning the system to pressure.
