The DURA PLASTIC PVC80BUSHSPS1121 is a flush socket reducer bushing manufactured from Schedule 80 PVC. It transitions a 1-1/2 inch line down to a 1 inch line using a spigot inlet and a socket outlet, allowing it to seat flush inside a standard Schedule 80 socket fitting without a shoulder. The heavy-wall Schedule 80 construction gives it the pressure rating and chemical resistance required for industrial, commercial, and irrigation piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a compact, flush-style reduction is needed in a PVC pressure system.
This reducer bushing is used in residential and commercial plumbing, pool and spa circulation systems, chemical processing lines, and irrigation distribution networks where PVC Schedule 80 pipe and fittings are specified. The flush spigot end inserts directly into any standard 1-1/2 inch Schedule 80 or Schedule 40 socket, making it a space-efficient alternative to a full coupling-and-reducer assembly. It is suited for cold and ambient-temperature fluid service where PVC is an approved material.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using 1-1/2 inch to 1 inch reductions.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following local plumbing codes and ASTM solvent-cementing guidelines. Depressurize and drain the system fully before cutting into any existing line. Use a PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before returning the system to service. Do not apply heat or use threaded mechanical force to join solvent-weld fittings.
