The DURA PLASTIC PVC80ADSFIP34 is a 3/4-inch Schedule 80 PVC male adapter fitting designed to transition between a spigot (solvent-weld) connection and a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connection. Built from rigid PVC to Schedule 80 wall thickness standards, it provides greater pressure capacity and impact resistance compared to Schedule 40 fittings. Plumbers and pipefitters use this adapter to join solvent-welded PVC pipe runs to threaded female ports on valves, pumps, and equipment in both pressure and non-pressure piping systems.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, pool and spa piping, and industrial process lines where PVC is an approved material. The spigot end accepts standard solvent cement for a permanent, leak-tight bond to PVC pipe or a fitting socket. The female threaded end connects directly to male-threaded components. Its heavier Schedule 80 wall makes it a preferred choice in applications where higher working pressures or additional mechanical strength are required over Schedule 40 alternatives.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using 3/4-inch nominal pipe size with spigot-to-female-thread transitions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the line completely before cutting into any existing piping. Use a approved PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 fittings on the spigot end, and apply thread sealant tape or compound to the female threaded connection as required. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as PVC threads can crack under excessive torque.
