The DURA PLASTIC PVC8090L4 is a 4-inch Schedule 80 PVC socket-by-socket 90-degree elbow fitting used to make right-angle direction changes in pressure piping systems. Schedule 80 PVC wall thickness provides higher pressure ratings and greater impact resistance compared to Schedule 40, making this fitting suitable for demanding industrial, chemical, and commercial plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this elbow in both above-ground and below-ground systems where a full 90-degree turn is required. The socket ends accept solvent-cement connections for a leak-tight, permanent joint.
This fitting is designed for use in residential, commercial, and industrial piping systems handling water, chemicals, and other fluids compatible with PVC. It is commonly installed in process piping, irrigation mains, pool and spa circulation lines, and industrial fluid-handling systems. The 4-inch socket size suits larger-diameter mains where higher flow capacity is needed. Its rigid PVC construction makes it a standard choice wherever corrosion resistance and pressure performance are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 4-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe systems using solvent-cement socket connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for solvent-cementing PVC pressure fittings. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before cutting into an existing line. Use a PVC-rated primer and solvent cement appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before returning the system to service. Do not apply heat to seat or adjust the fitting after cementing.
