The DURA PLASTIC PVC8090L2 is a 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC socket-by-socket 90-degree elbow designed for pressure piping systems in industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty residential applications. Schedule 80 PVC provides a thicker wall than Schedule 40, making it suitable for higher-pressure service and environments where mechanical impact or chemical exposure is a concern. The socket ends accept standard 2-inch PVC pipe for solvent-cement joining. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and irrigation technicians working on systems that demand the added strength of Schedule 80-rated components.
This elbow is used wherever a 90-degree change of direction is needed in a 2-inch PVC pressure line. Typical applications include industrial process piping, chemical transfer lines, municipal water systems, irrigation distribution, and pool or spa plumbing where Schedule 80 wall thickness is required by design specification or local code. The socket configuration means no threading is required — a clean solvent-cement joint is all that is needed to complete the connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting compatible with 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC pressure piping systems using solvent-cement socket joints.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the line completely before cutting into any existing system. Use a PVC primer and Schedule 80-rated solvent cement rated for the service conditions, and allow full cure time before returning the system to pressure. Avoid over-insertion or misalignment during assembly, as improper joints are a leading cause of fitting failure.
