The DURA PLASTIC PVC8045L2 is a Schedule 80 PVC 45-degree elbow fitting designed for socket-to-socket connections in pressure-rated piping systems. Built from rigid PVC to Schedule 80 wall thickness standards, this fitting delivers greater pressure capacity and wall strength than Schedule 40 equivalents of the same size. At 2 inches socket size, it is sized for standard 2-inch PVC pipe and accepts solvent-cement connections on both ends. Plumbers, pipefitters, and irrigation contractors install this type of fitting when a 45-degree directional change is required without sacrificing pressure rating.
This elbow is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, industrial process piping, irrigation systems, and chemical distribution lines where Schedule 80 wall thickness is specified. The socket-by-socket (S x S) end configuration means both ends accept solvent weld connections, making it appropriate for in-line installations with standard 2-inch PVC pipe. It is commonly specified on projects where elevated working pressures or mechanical protection of the line is a requirement over standard Schedule 40 fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting compatible with 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using solvent-cement socket connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use a proper PVC solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 applications and allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing. Do not use this fitting with threaded connections or pipe outside the specified 2-inch socket dimension.
