The DURA PLASTIC PVC8045L12 is a Schedule 80 PVC 45-degree elbow fitting with socket (S x S) connections on both ends. It accepts 1/2-inch pipe and is designed to change flow direction by 45 degrees in pressurized piping systems. The Schedule 80 wall thickness makes it suitable for higher-pressure applications where Schedule 40 fittings are insufficient. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and irrigation contractors install this type of fitting in both above-ground and below-ground runs where a gradual directional change is required.
This elbow is used in residential and commercial plumbing, chemical distribution lines, industrial process piping, and irrigation systems where PVC construction is appropriate. The socket ends accept solvent-cement joints per standard practice. It is well suited for applications requiring corrosion resistance and moderate pressure capability in a compact fitting profile.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using 1/2-inch socket connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean and dry pipe ends, apply PVC primer, and use solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 PVC per manufacturer instructions. Allow full cure time before restoring pressure to the system.
