The DURA PLASTIC PVC40TSSFIP1112 is a Schedule 40 PVC tee fitting designed for pressure plumbing systems. It features a 1 inch slip inlet, a 1 inch run outlet, and a 1/2 inch branch outlet, making it a reducing tee suitable for branching off a main line to a smaller downstream connection. Built from rigid PVC, this fitting is suited for cold and ambient-temperature water distribution, irrigation, and general pressure piping. Plumbers and pipefitters install it in residential and light commercial systems where a durable, corrosion-resistant thermoplastic fitting is required.
This tee is intended for use in Schedule 40 PVC pressure piping systems, including potable water supply, irrigation distribution, and pool or spa plumbing. The slip connections on the 1 inch ports allow for standard solvent-weld installation. The 1/2 inch branch outlet provides a convenient reduced takeoff for supply lines, zone feeds, or fixture connections. It is well suited to residential plumbing rough-in, lawn irrigation manifolds, and pool equipment pad piping where PVC Schedule 40 pressure fittings are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 40 PVC pressure piping systems using 1 inch and 1/2 inch nominal pipe sizes.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or irrigation technicians using standard PVC solvent cement and primer per the pipe and fitting manufacturer instructions and applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into an existing line. Use the correct size primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 40 PVC pressure applications, and allow full cure time before restoring system pressure.
