The DURA PLASTIC PVC40TRED1134 is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing tee fitting designed for pressure piping systems. It features a 1 inch by 1 inch by 3/4 inch slip connection configuration, allowing a branch takeoff at a reduced diameter from the main run. The slip-style sockets accept solvent-welded connections on all three ports. This fitting is used in cold and hot pressure distribution systems and is typically installed by licensed plumbers or irrigation technicians working with Schedule 40 PVC piping.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial pressure piping applications including potable water distribution, irrigation mainlines, and pool or spa plumbing systems. The 3/4 inch branch outlet allows a controlled reduction in flow to a secondary line while maintaining the 1 inch main run. All three ports use a slip connection, requiring solvent cement for assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for use with Schedule 40 PVC pipe systems in residential and light commercial plumbing and irrigation installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for solvent-welded PVC fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use a compatible PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 40 pressure fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring system pressure. Do not apply heat or use compression-style tools on slip-socket PVC fittings.
