The DURA PLASTIC PVC40T212 is a 2.5-inch Schedule 40 PVC pressure tee fitting with a slip x slip x slip connection configuration. It is designed for use in cold and hot water distribution, irrigation, and industrial pressure piping systems. The all-slip socket design allows solvent-cement joining on all three ports, creating a leak-free branch connection. Plumbers, irrigation contractors, and industrial pipefitters install this fitting where a full-bore branch takeoff is needed in a pressure line. Schedule 40 wall thickness provides the structural integrity required for standard-pressure service.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, lawn and landscape irrigation systems, pool and spa circulation piping, and light industrial fluid-handling applications. The slip connection type requires solvent cement and primer per applicable code, making it a standard wet installation. It is appropriate anywhere a 2.5-inch branch tee is required in a Schedule 40 PVC pressure system operating within the rated pressure and temperature limits of the material.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for use with 2.5-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe systems in plumbing, irrigation, and pool applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and IAPMO or IPC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into an existing line. Use the appropriate PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 40 pressure fittings, and allow full cure time before pressurizing. Do not use this fitting with CPVC pipe or fittings, as dimensional differences may prevent proper joint formation.
