The DURA PLASTIC PVC4090LSFIP2 is a Schedule 40 PVC 90-degree elbow fitting designed for pressure piping systems. It features a slip socket on one end and a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the other, allowing a transition from a solvent-weld connection to a threaded connection in a single fitting. At 2 inches, this elbow is sized for common residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and pool or spa piping runs. Licensed plumbers, pool technicians, and irrigation installers use this type of fitting to change pipe direction while transitioning between connection types.
This fitting is suited for above-ground and below-ground pressure piping applications where PVC Schedule 40 material is code-acceptable. Typical uses include pool and spa plumbing, residential water supply lines, irrigation distribution systems, and light industrial process lines. The slip-by-FIPT configuration is common when connecting PVC runs to threaded valves, pumps, or equipment ports.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 2-inch Schedule 40 PVC pressure piping systems using solvent-weld and NPT threaded connections.
Installation of this fitting should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Apply a compatible PVC primer and solvent cement to the slip end per the cement manufacturer's instructions, and thread the FIPT end with an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for PVC. Do not over-torque threaded connections, as PVC fittings can crack under excessive force.
