The DURA PLASTIC PVC4090LSFIP134 is a Schedule 40 PVC 90 degree reducing elbow fitting designed for pressure piping systems. It transitions from a 1 inch slip socket on one end to a 3/4 inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the other, allowing a direction change and size reduction in a single fitting. Schedule 40 PVC is rated for cold and hot water pressure applications and resists corrosion, scale buildup, and many common chemicals. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution, irrigation, and pool or spa plumbing systems.
This elbow is suited for applications where a 90 degree turn is needed between a 1 inch solvent-weld pipe run and a 3/4 inch threaded port or valve. Common install scenarios include connecting main supply lines to branch takeoffs, tying into threaded valve bodies, and transitioning between pipe sizes within a distribution system. It is appropriate for above-ground and underground pressure service within the temperature and pressure limits of Schedule 40 PVC.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting compatible with Schedule 40 PVC piping systems using 1 inch solvent-weld pipe and 3/4 inch male iron pipe thread (MIPT) connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the IPC and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into an existing system. The slip end requires primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 40 PVC; the FIPT end requires thread sealant tape or compound applied to the male threads before engagement. Do not over-tighten the threaded connection, as PVC threads can crack under excessive torque.
