The DURA PLASTIC PVC4090LSFIP112 is a Schedule 40 PVC 90-degree elbow fitting designed for pressure piping systems. It features a slip socket on one end and a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connection on the other, allowing a transition between solvent-welded and threaded pipe runs. Built from Schedule 40 PVC, this elbow is suited for cold and hot water distribution, irrigation, and general-purpose pressure applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and pool and irrigation contractors install this type of fitting where a 90-degree directional change is needed with a threaded takeoff or transition point.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation systems, pool and spa plumbing, and industrial process piping where PVC pressure fittings are specified. The 1-1/2 inch size is a common dimension in pool return lines, main distribution headers, and branch supply runs. The slip-by-FIPT configuration makes it a go-to choice when connecting to a threaded valve, pump port, or equipment fitting on one side and solvent-welded pipe on the other.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting compatible with standard Schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings systems in 1-1/2 inch nominal pipe size.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into any existing line. The slip end requires proper PVC primer and solvent cement applied per the cement manufacturer instructions and applicable plumbing code. The FIPT end should be assembled with PTFE tape or thread sealant rated for PVC; do not overtighten threaded connections as PVC threads can crack under excess torque.
