The DUPONT 0130708 is a high temperature anti-seize lubricant formulated with a stainless steel base and packaged in a 1 pound can. It prevents galling, seizing, and corrosion on threaded fasteners, flanges, and fittings exposed to extreme heat or harsh environmental conditions. The compound carries a working temperature range of -297 degrees F to 2,200 degrees F, making it suitable for applications that cycle through cryogenic lows and sustained high-heat environments. The silver-gray paste is water-resistant and is applied by hand or brush prior to assembly. HVAC technicians, pipefitters, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly reach for this product when assembling components that must be disassembled again after heat exposure.
This anti-seize compound is used across residential and commercial mechanical systems wherever metal fasteners or pipe connections are subject to high heat, oxidation, or moisture. Typical applications include exhaust connections, boiler fittings, heat exchanger hardware, furnace flue connections, and pipe threaded joints in hot-water and steam systems. It is also used in pool and industrial pump installations where corrosion resistance on stainless or dissimilar-metal connections is required. The product is not food grade and is not rated for nuclear service.
Designed for use on threaded fasteners, flanges, pipe fittings, and assembly hardware in high-temperature mechanical and plumbing applications where stainless steel, carbon steel, or dissimilar-metal connections require anti-seize protection.
Apply a thin, even coat to clean, dry threads or mating surfaces before assembly. Licensed pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and plumbers should follow applicable IFGC and IPC guidelines when using thread compounds on gas or water piping. Avoid skin and eye contact; consult the safety data sheet for PPE requirements. Do not apply to electrical contacts or oxygen-service fittings unless the product is specifically rated for that service.
