The DUMONT MINUTE MAN 33317 is a Style B collared broach bushing designed to guide and support broaching tools during precision hole-finishing operations. The collared design seats securely in a fixture or press plate, keeping the broach aligned and reducing the risk of tool deflection. With a bushing diameter of 0.75 inches and a bushing length of 1.6875 inches, the 33317 is sized for mid-range broaching applications in machine shops and production environments. Machinists and tooling technicians specify this part when a consistent, guided bore finish is required in high-repeat operations.
This collared broach bushing is used in toolroom and production machining settings where rotary or push broaches are guided through a plate or fixture. Style B geometry is common in applications requiring a flanged collar to prevent the bushing from passing through the fixture bore. It is well suited for use with manual arbor presses and hydraulic broaching setups where tool alignment is critical to achieving a clean, accurate keyed or shaped hole.
Designed as an OEM-style broach bushing replacement for use with standard Style B collared broach tooling fixtures in production and toolroom machining applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the press or fixture plate is de-energized and at rest before seating or removing the bushing. The bushing should be pressed into the fixture bore to a firm, flush seat using an appropriate arbor press - never struck directly with a hammer. Verify the collar seats fully against the fixture face to ensure proper broach alignment before resuming operations.
