The DRILL ROD TOOL STEELS 66799 is an O1 oil-hardening tool steel flat stock bar intended for toolmakers, machinists, and die makers who require tight-tolerance, readily hardenable stock material. Conforming to AISI Type O1 specifications, this flat bar measures 3/32 inches thick, 1-1/4 inches wide, and 36 inches long, with a weight of 1.21 pounds. Thickness tolerance is held to plus or minus 0.001 inches, making it suitable for precision tooling applications where dimensional consistency before heat treat is critical. O1 tool steel offers good machinability in the annealed state and responds well to oil-quench hardening.
