The DRILL ROD TOOL STEELS 66774 is an O1 oil-hardening tool steel flat stock bar conforming to AISI Type O1 material specification. This bar measures 3/8 inch thick, 6 inches wide, and 18 inches long, with a weight of 11.6 pounds. O1 tool steel is a general-purpose oil-hardening grade prized for its dimensional stability during heat treatment, good machinability in the annealed state, and high hardness after hardening and tempering. It is used in the manufacture of punches, dies, cutting tools, gauges, and fixtures. This flat stock is supplied in the annealed condition, ready for machining before hardening.
