The DREMEL 7103 is a diamond ball mounted point designed for use with rotary tools requiring a 1/8 inch shank. The abrasive tip is impregnated with diamond material, making it capable of grinding, shaping, and smoothing hard materials that conventional abrasives cannot handle effectively. The ball point shape allows access to curved surfaces, contours, and recessed areas. At a maximum operating speed of 35,000 RPM, this mounted point delivers controlled stock removal on dense materials. Overall length is 1.2 inches, keeping it compact for precision work in tight spaces. It is used by tradespeople, fabricators, and skilled technicians who work with hard or brittle materials.
This mounted point is suited for work on ceramic, glass, hardened steel, jade, semi-precious stones, and wood. Its ball geometry makes it especially useful for engraving, deburring holes, and smoothing internal radii where flat or cylindrical points cannot reach. Typical applications include tile and stone work, glass etching, metal fabrication detail work, and lapidary tasks. It installs directly into any rotary tool or flex-shaft handpiece accepting a 1/8 inch collet.
Designed for use with rotary tools and flex-shaft handpieces that accept a 1/8 inch shank collet. Suitable for material applications including ceramic, glass, hardened steel, jade, semi-precious stones, and wood.
Power down and unplug the rotary tool before inserting or removing any mounted point. Insert the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet and tighten the collet nut securely before operation. Always verify the tool speed does not exceed the 35,000 RPM maximum rating of this mounted point. Eye protection is required when grinding hard or brittle materials such as glass or stone.
