The DREMEL 560 is a high-speed drywall cutting bit designed for fast, clean cuts in gypsum board. Built with a 1/8-inch steel shank, it fits standard rotary tool chucks used across the trade. The piloted tip guides the bit around outlet boxes, switch boxes, and junction boxes without requiring a pilot hole, keeping cuts accurate and edges clean. Electricians and finish contractors reach for this bit when cutting openings for electrical boxes, air vents, and other wall penetrations where a clean edge matters.
This bit is suited for residential and light commercial drywall work. Common applications include cutting openings for electrical outlet and switch boxes, HVAC register and air vent openings, and other recessed wall features. The piloted tip design makes it particularly useful in retrofit and renovation work where precise placement around existing framing or rough-in boxes is required.
Designed as an OEM-style rotary tool accessory for use with standard 1/8-inch collet rotary tools in drywall cutting applications.
This bit is installed and operated by electricians, drywall installers, and general contractors using a compatible rotary tool. Ensure the rotary tool is powered off and unplugged before inserting or removing the bit from the collet. When cutting near live electrical panels or boxes, de-energize the circuit at the breaker before beginning work, in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Keep firm, consistent pressure on the tool during the cut to maintain the pilot tip contact and avoid bit deflection.
