The DOTCO 12L1101-36 is a straight-handle air die grinder designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in demanding trade and industrial environments. It runs at 28,000 RPM on 0.3 horsepower, powered by a 90 psi compressed air supply at 16 CFM. The 1/4 inch collet accepts a wide range of mounted points, carbide burrs, and abrasive accessories. Front exhaust directs spent air away from the workpiece and operator, keeping the work area visible during close-tolerance material removal. The lever throttle gives the operator direct speed control without mode switches. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
The 12L1101-36 is suited for use in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where a compact, straight-body grinder is required for internal grinding, port work, weld cleanup, and similar detail operations. The 10.9 inch overall length fits into tight cavities where larger grinders cannot reach. At 1.3 pounds, it reduces operator fatigue during extended use. It is compatible with standard 1/4 inch air fittings and operates on any industrial compressed air system capable of sustaining 90 psi at adequate flow volume.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch collet accessories including mounted grinding points, carbide burrs, and abrasive wheels rated for speeds at or above 28,000 RPM. Connects to any 1/4 inch NPT air supply line at 90 psi.
Connection and operation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic tooling and compressed air systems. Before connecting or changing accessories, depressurize the air line and verify the collet nut is fully tightened with the appropriate wrench. Always confirm that any mounted accessory is rated for the maximum free speed of the grinder before use. Follow applicable OSHA and ANSI abrasive wheel safety standards when selecting and mounting grinding accessories.
