The DORMAKABA 5021bwl-26d-41 is a Grade 1 cylindrical combination lever lock designed for commercial door hardware applications. Part of the Simplex series, this lock integrates keypad trim with a cylindrical lock platform, providing two-factor access control in a single unit. It ships without a core installed, configured for 6/7-pin Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) prep, allowing facilities to install their own keyed core as part of an existing master key system. The backset measures 2-3/4 inches and the throw latch extends 1/2 inch. The body is constructed from brass or bronze, and the finish is Satin Chrome (26D).
This lock is suited for commercial interior and exterior doors in institutional, healthcare, education, and corporate environments where both mechanical key access and combination entry are required. The SFIC prep configuration makes it a practical fit for facilities already running a small format interchangeable core master key program. Licensed commercial locksmiths and commercial door hardware technicians are the typical installers for this type of hardware in new construction or retrofit applications.
Designed as an OEM-style cylindrical lock for commercial doors prepped for a 2-3/4 inch backset with SFIC cylinder prep. Core must be sourced separately and must be compatible with the 6/7-pin small format interchangeable core specification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed commercial locksmith or qualified door hardware technician familiar with cylindrical lock replacement and SFIC core systems. Verify the door is prepped for a 2-3/4 inch backset and that the existing bore pattern matches the Simplex cylindrical platform before installation. The core is not included and must be installed separately — do not operate the lock under load without the core seated. Follow applicable building codes and fire-rated door assembly requirements when installing on rated openings.
