The DO IT 750182 is a smooth-shank drywall nail designed to fasten gypsum board panels to wood framing members. The cup-dish head geometry allows the nail to countersink cleanly into the drywall face without tearing the paper surface, leaving a recess ready for joint compound. At 1-3/8 inches in length and 12.5 gauge, the nail provides solid holding power through standard half-inch and five-eighths-inch drywall into dimensional lumber studs. The diamond point drives true and reduces splitting. Each box contains 1 pound of nails for interior drywall installation work.
This nail is suited for interior residential and light commercial drywall installations where panels are hand-nailed or hammer-driven to wood studs, plates, or headers. The smooth shank and countersinking head make it a standard choice for production framers and drywall hangers working on interior wall and ceiling assemblies. Not rated for exterior or high-moisture applications.
Designed as a standard-duty drywall nail for interior gypsum board panels fastened to wood framing studs, plates, and headers.
Drywall nails are driven by a licensed or experienced drywall installer using a standard milled-face hammer or drywall hatchet. Drive each nail to set the head in a shallow dimple without breaking the paper face. Follow spacing requirements per applicable local building codes and gypsum board manufacturer guidelines. Not intended for steel-stud framing or exterior applications.
