The DO IT 720562 is a 10d bright finish nail designed for interior finish carpentry and trim work. The thin, smooth shank and cupped brad head allow the nail to be driven flush and countersunk below the wood surface, leaving a small hole that can be filled for a clean, paintable finish. Sold in a 1-pound box, this nail is a standard fastener on residential finish carpentry jobs. Carpenters and trim installers reach for finish nails like this when appearance matters and exposed fastener heads are not acceptable.
This nail is suited for interior trim applications including baseboard, door and window casing, crown molding, chair rail, and similar finish millwork. The bright (uncoated) finish is appropriate for dry interior environments. The 10d designation indicates a standard nail size commonly used where a longer shank is needed for thicker trim stock or to reach structural backing through finish material.
Designed as a standard 10d bright finish nail for use in hand-nailing applications typical of interior finish carpentry and trim installation.
Finish nails are driven by a finish hammer or trim nailer and set below the surface using a nail set tool. Always drive nails at an appropriate angle to avoid blowout on thin stock. Fill countersunk holes with wood filler or spackling compound before painting or finishing. For use in dry interior locations only, as the bright uncoated finish is not corrosion resistant.
