The DO IT 411824 is a faucet hole cover designed to mask unused spray or faucet holes on kitchen and bathroom sinks. When a sink deck has a pre-drilled opening that is not occupied by a faucet, sprayer, or soap dispenser, this cover plate provides a clean, finished appearance. It installs from above the sink deck and secures from below using the included wing nut, requiring no special tools. Plumbers and plumbing-savvy installers use this type of cover during fixture upgrades or when consolidating from a multi-hole to a single-hole faucet configuration. The part ships as a single unit on a card and weighs approximately 0.03 pounds.
This hole cover is suited for residential sink installations where one or more deck openings need to be closed off. Common scenarios include replacing a three-hole faucet set with a single-hole unit, removing an outdated side sprayer, or finishing a sink that was originally drilled for optional accessories that will not be installed. The low-profile design sits flush against the sink deck surface to minimize the appearance of the covered opening.
Designed as a standard replacement or finishing cover for residential sink decks with unused pre-drilled faucet or spray holes. Verify the existing hole diameter against the cover plate dimensions before installation.
Installation is performed by a plumber or qualified DIYer. Shut off water supply and relieve line pressure before working under the sink. Insert the cover plate into the unused hole from the top side of the sink deck, then thread and hand-tighten the wing nut from below to secure the plate in place. Do not overtighten the wing nut, as excessive force may crack a ceramic or composite sink deck.
