The DO IT 262GB214 is a high-speed steel (HSS) hacksaw blade engineered for cutting alloy steels and other hard metals. Built with a flexible, shatterproof construction, this blade is rated to last up to six times longer than standard carbon-steel hacksaw blades. The HSS material maintains its edge at elevated cutting temperatures, reducing the need for frequent blade changes on the job. Each card includes two blades, making it a practical choice for trade professionals and maintenance technicians who go through blades regularly. The 262GB214 fits standard hacksaw frames found on most job sites.
This blade is suited for metalworking applications where alloy steel pipe, rod, structural steel, or hardened fasteners need to be cut. Plumbers, pipefitters, electricians, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance trades will find it useful for cutting metal conduit, threaded rod, bolts, and similar materials. The shatterproof flex-back construction reduces the risk of blade snap during aggressive cuts or when cutting in tight clearances.
Designed as a replacement or spare hacksaw blade for standard hacksaw frames used in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general metalworking applications.
Install the blade into a standard hacksaw frame with teeth pointing forward, away from the handle, and tension the frame until the blade is taut with no lateral flex. Always wear eye protection and appropriate gloves when cutting metal. Secure the workpiece firmly in a vise or clamp before cutting to prevent movement and blade binding. Discard blades that show cracks, missing teeth, or visible deformation.
