The DIXON VALVE COUPLING MSC1540609K is a brass welding hose coupling designed for use on acetylene gas lines. It features a 9/16 inch left-hand thread in the UNF standard, which is the industry-standard thread direction for fuel gas fittings to prevent accidental cross-connection with oxygen-side components. The 3/8 inch inner diameter bore accommodates standard acetylene welding hose. Welding technicians and gas supply installers use this coupling to terminate or join hose assemblies on the fuel gas side of oxy-acetylene welding and cutting setups.
