The DIXON VALVE COUPLING DV-00243 is a liquid-fillable analog pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in a wide range of industrial and mechanical applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a 0 to 15 psi range, a stainless steel case, and a glycerine-filled interior that dampens needle vibration and protects the internal bourdon tube from pressure spikes. The bronze bourdon tube provides reliable pressure sensing across the full scale. Accuracy is rated at plus or minus 2.5 percent of full scale. This gauge accepts a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection, making it straightforward to install inline or at a port on a manifold, tank, or pump assembly.
This gauge is suited for low-pressure fluid and gas monitoring in HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and light industrial systems. The glycerine fill makes it a preferred choice in environments with pulsating pressure or mechanical vibration, such as pump discharge lines or compressor outlets. The lower-mount configuration positions the dial face upright for easy reading when the gauge is threaded into a bottom-entry port. Residential and commercial service technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance personnel are the primary installers of this gauge type.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or new-installation pressure gauge for systems with 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount gauge ports operating within a 0 to 15 psi range.
This gauge is typically installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance mechanics. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Use thread sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT threads and tighten to a snug fit — avoid over-tightening, which can crack the case socket. Verify that the system pressure range does not exceed the gauge maximum before returning the system to service.
