The DIVERSITECHDIVE6223 DIVE-6223 is a fully insulated dead end wire connector designed to terminate and cap individual wire ends in electrical wiring applications. Dead end connectors prevent exposed conductors from making unintended contact with adjacent components, enclosure walls, or other conductors. This connector accommodates wire gauges from 18 AWG to 10 AWG, making it suitable for a broad range of low-voltage control wiring and line-voltage branch circuit connections. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians commonly use dead end connectors when capping unused wire leads, securing single-conductor terminations, or finishing wiring inside equipment cabinets and junction boxes.
This connector is used across residential and light commercial applications wherever a single wire end requires a secure, insulated termination. Typical install scenarios include capping spare conductors in HVAC control wiring, terminating unused leads in electrical panels or junction boxes, and securing wire ends during equipment service or changeout. The 18 to 10 AWG range covers common control wire sizes as well as small branch circuit conductors found in HVAC, plumbing controls, and general electrical work.
Designed as an OEM-style dead end connector suitable for use with copper conductors ranging from 18 AWG to 10 AWG in residential and light commercial electrical and HVAC wiring installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician. De-energize the circuit at the breaker or disconnect before working on any wire terminations, in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout requirements. Insert the stripped wire end fully into the connector and crimp or twist to manufacturer specifications using an appropriate terminal crimping tool. Do not exceed the maximum wire gauge rating of 10 AWG, and do not attempt to join multiple conductors in a single dead end connector.
