The DIVERSITECH TUVBTST2 is a duct-mounted UV-C air purification system designed for installation inside residential and light commercial HVAC ductwork. Operating on a wide-range electronic ballast rated for 120-277 VAC, the unit accepts standard single-phase power across a broad voltage range, making it adaptable to varied electrical configurations. It ships with a single MaxLife UV-C lamp rated for 2 years of continuous service, reducing the frequency of lamp replacements compared to standard 1-year UV lamps. The system targets microbial growth and odors by delivering sustained germicidal UV-C irradiation to air passing through the duct. Licensed HVAC technicians are the typical installer for this type of system.
The TUVBTST2 is suited for duct-mounted installation in forced-air HVAC systems where ongoing biological contamination control and odor reduction are service priorities. Its high-voltage electronic ballast design supports operation across the 120-277 VAC range, making it viable for both residential and light commercial forced-air applications. Installation is typically performed at the air handler or in a straight duct section downstream of the coil, where UV-C exposure to the evaporator and airstream is most effective for reducing microbial buildup.
Designed as an OEM-style duct-mounted UV-C air treatment system compatible with residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the air handler before beginning installation. UV-C radiation is hazardous to eyes and skin — the lamp must never be energized while the access panel is open or while personnel are in direct line of sight of the lamp. Follow all applicable NEC requirements for low-voltage and line-voltage wiring connections during installation.
