The DIVERSITECH scm705-16 is a liquid acid-based ice machine cleaner formulated to remove mineral scale, lime deposits, and other buildup from the internal components of commercial and residential ice machines. The solution combines sulfamic acid and phosphoric acid in a water-miscible liquid, producing a highly aggressive cleaning action with a pH below 1. At 3 centipoise viscosity, the product flows easily through internal waterways and over evaporator surfaces. It is packaged in a 16 oz bottle for single-service or periodic maintenance use. HVAC technicians and refrigeration service pros use this cleaner as part of routine ice machine maintenance to restore production efficiency and maintain sanitary operation.
This cleaner is suited for periodic descaling service on ice machines found in restaurants, foodservice facilities, medical environments, and residential applications. It is applied during a cleaning cycle as specified by the ice machine manufacturer. The slight astringent odor and clear-to-slightly-amber color allow easy visual identification in the field. This product is intended for use by trained technicians familiar with acid-based chemical cleaners and proper PPE requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style maintenance chemical for use in residential and commercial ice machines requiring acid-based descaling cleaner during scheduled service cycles.
Ice machine cleaners should be applied only by technicians familiar with acid chemical handling and manufacturer-specified cleaning procedures. Always wear appropriate PPE including chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling acid-based cleaners. Power down the ice machine and follow the manufacturer service manual for the correct dilution ratio and cleaning cycle procedure before introducing the cleaner. Thoroughly flush and rinse all internal surfaces with potable water after the cleaning cycle is complete before returning the unit to ice production.
