The DIVERSITECH DCL052 is a liquid line filter drier designed to remove moisture and contaminants from a refrigeration or air conditioning liquid line. It uses an XH-11 grade molecular sieve desiccant core that provides both moisture adsorption and acid adsorption, protecting downstream components such as the TXV or metering device from damage. The unit connects via a 1/4 inch SAE flare fitting and houses the desiccant core in a compact 5 cubic inch shell. It is compatible with a broad range of refrigerants, making it suitable for service work across multiple system types. Licensed HVAC technicians install this component during system service, retrofit, or commissioning.
The DCL052 is well suited for smaller residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems where a compact filter drier is required. Its 1/4 inch SAE flare connection and multi-refrigerant compatibility make it a practical choice for retrofit applications where the original drier must be replaced after system opening or compressor burnout. Compatible refrigerants include R-134A, R-22, R-404A, R-507, and R-410A.
Compatible refrigerants include R-134A, R-22, R-404A, R-507, and R-410A. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service-install filter drier for smaller refrigeration and air conditioning systems using a 1/4 inch SAE flare liquid line connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following applicable refrigerant handling regulations and local mechanical codes. Recover all refrigerant and verify the system is depressurized before opening any refrigerant line. Install the drier with flow direction matching the arrow on the housing, and replace the filter drier any time the system has been opened to atmosphere or following a compressor burnout. After installation, leak-check all flare connections before recharging the system.
