The DIVERSITECH CHU40208-277 is a self-regulating crankcase heater with a flexible lockstrap. It delivers 60 watts at 0°F and does not require a thermostat. It is designed to prevent refrigerant migration into the crankcase oil in cold environments, which can cause motor wear and reduce refrigeration efficiency.
