The DIVERSITECH 37500h is a single-capacitance, oval motor run capacitor rated at 50 microfarads (MFD) and 370 volts, designed for continuous-duty operation in HVAC equipment. Motor run capacitors maintain a phase shift in the run winding of single-phase motors, keeping the motor spinning efficiently after startup. This unit is guaranteed for 10,000 hours of life under normal operating conditions and maintains 94% of rated capacitance through 60,000 hours of service. At 0.8 pounds and measuring 2.91 inches by 3.86 inches, it fits standard oval capacitor mounting brackets found in many residential and light-commercial air handlers and condensing units.
This capacitor is suited for use in both ducted and ductless HVAC systems. Typical applications include condenser fan motors and blower motors in split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. HVAC technicians install this capacitor as a direct replacement when a failed or weak run capacitor is identified during a service call. Its oval form factor fits bracket-style mounts common in condensing unit control compartments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement oval run capacitor for single-phase condenser fan motors and blower motors in ducted and ductless residential and light-commercial HVAC systems requiring a 50 MFD, 370-volt single-capacitance run capacitor.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the unit before accessing the control compartment, and discharge the existing capacitor fully before handling it, as capacitors can retain a dangerous charge even after power is removed. Secure the capacitor in the mounting bracket and verify all terminal connections are tight before restoring power. Follow applicable local electrical codes and manufacturer wiring diagrams during replacement.
