Product Description

The DITEK DTK-MRJPOEX is an outdoor-rated Power over Ethernet surge protector designed to protect PoE-enabled devices from voltage transients and surge events on network data lines. It is installed inline on Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet runs that supply both data and DC power to field devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP equipment. The unit is suited for installations where the cable run passes between buildings, transitions from indoor to outdoor environments, or is otherwise exposed to surge risk from lightning-induced transients or switching events.

This surge protector is intended for use in commercial and light industrial settings where outdoor PoE endpoints require protection at the device end of the cable run. Typical installation scenarios include security camera systems, outdoor access control readers, and exterior wireless networking equipment.
