The DITEK DTK-DR480P4 is a DIN rail-mounted surge protective device (SPD) designed for 277/480-volt, 3-phase wye electrical systems. It provides transient voltage surge suppression at the panel or distribution level, protecting downstream equipment from voltage spikes caused by lightning, utility switching, and load switching events. The 4-pole configuration covers all three phase conductors plus neutral, making it suitable for full wye-system protection. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this device.
The DTK-DR480P4 is used in commercial and industrial electrical distribution applications where 277/480-volt 3-phase wye service is present. Typical installation locations include load centers, panelboards, motor control centers, and distribution boards where DIN rail mounting is available. It is well suited for facilities with sensitive electronic equipment, variable frequency drives, PLCs, and other load-side devices vulnerable to transient overvoltage events.
Designed as an OEM-style surge protective device for use in 277/480-volt 3-phase wye-configured panelboards and distribution equipment with standard DIN rail mounting.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes governing surge protective devices. De-energize and lock out the panelboard or distribution equipment before mounting or wiring this device. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram for correct pole-to-conductor termination in a wye configuration. Do not install on delta-configured systems or voltage levels outside the rated 277/480-volt range.
