The DITEK DTK-DR480P2 is a DIN rail-mounted surge protective device (SPD) designed for split-phase electrical systems operating at 240 volts and 480 volts. It provides two-pole surge suppression at the panel or distribution level, clamping transient overvoltages before they reach connected equipment. Electricians and electrical contractors install this device to protect sensitive loads from lightning-induced surges and switching transients. Its DIN rail form factor allows fast, tool-minimal mounting inside standard enclosures and distribution panels.
This SPD is suited for residential and light commercial applications where split-phase 240V or 480V service is present. Typical installations include electrical distribution panels, motor control centers, and equipment enclosures where downstream electronics, controls, or variable-frequency drives require transient voltage protection. The two-pole configuration addresses line-to-neutral and line-to-ground protection modes common in split-phase systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation SPD for split-phase electrical distribution panels and enclosures accepting standard DIN rail-mounted protective devices.
A licensed electrician should install this device in accordance with NEC Article 285 governing surge protective devices. De-energize the panel completely and verify absence of voltage with a meter before mounting or terminating wiring. Secure the device to a standard DIN rail inside a properly rated enclosure before making electrical connections. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram and local AHJ requirements for conductor sizing and bonding.
