The DIG 24-069 is a drip irrigation compression-to-male hose thread (MHT) adapter fitted with an integrated flushing cap. It connects 5/8-inch drip tubing with an outer diameter of 0.710 inches to a standard male hose thread fitting, serving as both a line termination point and a periodic flushing port. Irrigation technicians and landscape professionals install this fitting at the end of a drip lateral or mainline run where the system needs a clean transition from compression tubing to a threaded connection. The flushing cap allows sediment and debris to be purged from the line without disassembling the fitting.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial drip irrigation systems. It is typically installed at the terminal end of a 5/8-inch drip tubing run, providing a secure compression grip on the tubing while offering a male hose thread outlet for attaching hoses, flushing valves, or end caps. It is appropriate for low-pressure drip zones where periodic line flushing is part of routine maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for 5/8-inch drip irrigation tubing with a 0.710-inch outer diameter used in residential and commercial low-pressure drip irrigation systems.
This fitting is installed by irrigation technicians or landscape professionals familiar with drip system assembly. Shut off the irrigation zone and relieve line pressure before installing or removing the fitting. Insert the drip tubing fully into the compression body until seated, and hand-tighten the compression nut to secure the connection. Do not overtighten the compression fitting, as excess force can deform the tubing and cause leaks.
