The DEWALT DWA8280H is a Type 29 ceramic alumina flap disc designed for aggressive material removal on steel and stainless steel. The conical Type 29 geometry presents the abrasive at an angle, increasing contact area and cutting efficiency compared to flat Type 27 discs. At 40 grit, this disc falls in the coarse range, making it well suited for weld blending, heavy stock removal, and surface preparation. Cotton backing provides flexibility and support across the flap arrangement. The disc is rated to 8,700 RPM and mounts via a 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole for use on standard 4.5-inch angle grinders. This disc is intended for use on carbon steels and stainless steel surfaces in both shop and field applications.
