The DEWALT DWA4188B is an 8-inch, 14 TPI bi-metal reciprocating saw blade engineered for demanding demolition work. The bi-metal construction combines a high-speed steel cutting edge with a flexible alloy steel body, giving the blade resistance to breakage under the stress of embedded fasteners, mixed materials, and rough cutting conditions. At 14 teeth per inch, this blade is optimized for fast, aggressive cuts through wood with nails, light metal, and other common demolition substrates. It is sold in bulk quantity with a minimum order of 100 blades per unit of measure.
This blade is suited for residential and light commercial demolition applications where crews cycle through blades at high volume. Typical use cases include deconstruction, remodeling tear-out, cutting through framed walls with embedded fasteners, pipe removal, and general rough-in work. The bulk packaging format makes it practical for contractors and tool cribs that need a consistent, high-volume supply of recip blades on hand for ongoing jobsite use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement blade for use in standard universal-shank reciprocating saws used in demolition and remodeling applications.
Reciprocating saw blade changes should be performed with the tool unpowered and the battery removed or the tool unplugged. Follow the saw manufacturer's blade-clamp procedure to confirm the blade is fully seated before operation. Eye protection and cut-resistant gloves are standard PPE when handling and installing recip blades. Inspect each blade for cracks or missing teeth before use and discard damaged blades immediately.
