The DEWALT DW8061 is a Type 1 bonded abrasive thin cut-off wheel designed for cutting metal. Measuring 4 inches in diameter, 0.045 inches thick, and 5/8 inches in arbor bore, it is built for use with small angle grinders and cut-off tools. The thin 0.045-inch kerf minimizes material loss and reduces heat buildup during cuts. At 0.27 pounds per wheel, it is lightweight and easy to handle through repetitive cutting tasks. This wheel is a standard consumable used by electricians, pipefitters, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors who need clean, fast cuts on ferrous metal stock, conduit, pipe, and structural steel.
The DW8061 is suited for residential and commercial job sites where quick, controlled cuts on metal are required. Typical applications include cutting electrical conduit, pipe sections, angle iron, strut channel, and similar ferrous materials. The 5/8-inch arbor bore fits the most common small grinder and cut-off tool spindle sizes used in trade work. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 25 units, making it practical for stocking on service trucks or in shop inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement consumable for use with small angle grinders and cut-off tools accepting a 4-inch Type 1 wheel with a 5/8-inch arbor bore.
Cut-off wheels are installed and replaced by the operator before use. Always power down and disconnect the grinder or cut-off tool from its power source before mounting or removing a wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the wheel. Wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection, and follow ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels.
