The DEWALT dce410p1 is a cordless PEX expansion tool designed for ASTM F1960 expansion-style PEX connections in plumbing rough-in work. Running on the 20V MAX platform with the included DCB205 5 Ah battery, it delivers consistent radial expansion across tube sizes from 1 inch through 1-1/2 inches. The right-angle head design lets technicians work in tight joist bays and wall cavities, while a secondary lower grip improves control during overhead runs. This kit includes three expander heads — 1 inch, 1-1/4 inch, and 1-1/2 inch — along with expander cone grease, so a plumber can cover the most common residential pipe sizes straight out of the box.
The dce410p1 is built for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where ASTM F1960 expansion PEX systems are specified. It handles tubing from 1 inch up to 1-1/2 inches, making it suitable for main supply runs, branch lines, and manifold connections in new construction and remodel work. The cordless format eliminates the need for an air compressor or pneumatic hose on the job site, and the 20V MAX battery platform allows sharing batteries across other DEWALT 20V MAX tools already in a plumber's kit.
Powered by the DEWALT 20V MAX battery platform. Included battery is the DCB205 5 Ah pack. Compatible charger part numbers: DCB094, DCB102, DCB103, DCB104, DCB107, DCB1102, DCB1104, DCB1106, DCB1112, DCB112, DCB113, DCB115, DCB118, and DCB132. Compatible material type is PEX only. Tool accepts DEWALT dce410-series expansion heads for sizes not included in this kit.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM F1960 standards. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making connections. Apply the included DCE400GR expander cone grease to the expansion cone before use to reduce wear and ensure consistent expansion cycles. Do not attempt to expand tube sizes outside the range supported by the installed head.
